What’s it like to pursue a creative career in video production right here in Michigan? With an industry full of resilient and talented professionals, many are carving their own path in the freelance world.
As a woman in production, and a queer, neurodivergent, perfectionist, Jenny Berggren never quite fit in all the places she found herself working. With authenticity and autonomy, she’s now operating her own grassroots-grown boutique agency, Wondergold Pictures, right here in Lansing.
Jenny will give you a tour of the wild west freelance world and talk about how she is flourishing as a creative person while finding stability. Learn to develop confidence and self-advocacy, identify the roles and corners of the industry that could be the best fit for you (and what isn’t!) while determining not only your day rate but also your value.
